Peacefully at Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, on Wednesday November 9, 2022, Mr. William Floyd ”Bill” Dowson of Varna in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Elaine (Jewitt) Dowson (August 22, 2019) for 59 years. Loving father of Brenda & Scott Consitt of Varna, Bonnie Groot of Hensall, and John Dowson of Varna. Cherished grandfather of Stacey & Cody Anderson, Kelly Consitt & Mike Crete, Kim Consitt & Mitch McCall, Steven Consitt, Michael & Lindsay Groot, Matthew & Kaylene Groot, Justin & Brittany Groot, Jeremy Groot, Alysha Dowson & Jeff Boyes, Jayme Dowson & Perry Weido, Krysten Dowson, Jason & Adel Dowson. Treasured by his great grandchildren. Dear brother in law of John & Barb Jewitt, Dennis & Phyllis Jewitt, Janice Preszcator, Bonnie Jewitt, Don & Pat Jewitt, Larry & Jessie Jewitt, Ken & Mary Jewitt, and Steven & Rose Jewitt. Dear uncle of David, and Jamie Tipping. Predeceased by his parents Harold & Margaret Dowson, sister Marion & Earl Tipping, brother John Dowson, brothers in law Ross & Kevin Jewitt, Jim Preszcator, and nephew Dan Tipping. Friends will be received at the Stanley Township Complex 38572 Mill Rd., Varna on Monday November 14, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at 2 p.m Cremation.
