Wesley David Dignan passed away peacefully at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in his 71st year.
Beloved husband and best friend of Nancy Joan Dignan. Proud father of Lindsey (Philip) Gravel of Kincardine, Courtney Dignan of Guelph, Ryan Wilson of Georgetown and Mathew Hoy (Jen) of London. Loving brother of Dale (Marie) Dignan and brother in law of Gerry Thiel. Grandfather of Ella, Ava, Ben, Ferris and Pearl.
Wes was loved by all his cousins in PEI, Edith and David, Garth and Doris, Revada, Alder and Bessie and their families.
Wes was predeceased by his first wife Marie (Farrish) Dignan in 1995, his parents Harold and Revada Dignan and sisters Marilyn Adele Dignan (November 3, 1946) and Sharon Diane Thiel (May, 2021).
Wes always had a passion for being a pilot and aviation. He began with a private pilot's license and then on to his Commercial Pilot's License in 1977. He then purchased his Cessna 150 (BQW) in 1979.
He worked for Volvo Motor Graders as a machinist for 38 years.
A private graveside service will take place.
Memorial donations to Alexandra Marine and General Hospital Foundation, Huron Residential Hospice Bender House or the charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated.
