Peacefully at Huronview Home, Clinton, on Thursday January 12, 2023. Mr. Robert (Bob) John McCool of Clinton in his 78th year. Predeceased by his wife Berthena (Cruickshank). Loving partner of Mary Elliott for 24 years. Father of Rob (Patricia), and Anjela McCool (Dave Gackstetter). Proud Grandpa ofHolly and Owen McCool. Brother-in-law of Gwen McCool. Loved uncle of Scott Wolfe (Agnes), Mark Wolfe, Danny McCool, Connie (Arnold) Dawson, and Beth McCool. Also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, Fred and Dorothy McCool, siblings Paul McCool, Doris (Roy) Green, Jane (Orval) Wolfe and by his parents-in-law Jimmy and Emma Cruickshank. Bob worked at The Clinton Piano Factory as a teenager before taking over the home farm. While farming, he worked at Champion Road Machinery for 27 years in the machine shop. He had a genuine love of farm equipment and operated his own used farm implement business. He never missed an auction sale. Bob was known to have a good sense of humour, extensive knowledge of tractors and a love for farming. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes, 153 High St., Clinton, on Tuesday January 17, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. A celebration of Bob’s life will also be held at the Huron Fish & Game Club in Clinton on Saturday January 21, 2023 from 1- 5 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Junior Farmers Association of Ontario to support new farmers or to The Alzheimer’s Society.
