Obituary for Pearl Waddington

Pearl Emeline Waddington passed away at Huronview Home for the Aged, Monday, November 01, 2021.

She was born in Galt, Ontario November 18, 1930, to Ira and Alice Parker. Pearl married Malcolm Waddington, March 25, 1950, who predeceased her in 1971. Predeceased by her brother Edward Parker and her son who recently passed, John Waddington who is survived by his dedicated wife Trisha.

Pearl has four surviving children, Susan Pottruff (Les), Dorothy Koster (Bill) Wendy Waddington (Brian Millar) and Jennifer Waddington (Ray Barton).

She has five grandchildren, Janet Tadeson (Dean), Mark Koster (Ainsley), Laura Pottruff, Angela and Sarah Waddington.

She has six great grandchildren, Michael and Kaitlyn Kamrath, Dayton and Avery Tadeson, Kaylee and Caleb Koster.

Predeceased by her best friend, and truly special aunt, Auntie Bea (Bea Letson).

Despite many of life’s challenges she maintained a sense of humour, loved a good corny joke, had a compassion for others and gave freely to those in need. She also loved animals, enjoyed gardening, was a great cook and a gifted artist.

In her earlier years she worked in a dress shop and as a telephone operator in Galt, Ontario. She also drove a school bus for Toshmar Bus lines in Ayr, Ontario for many years, to support her children. Pearl was a member of the Clinton Women’s Auxiliary and while living in Duncan BC, the Duncan Women’s Auxiliary.

All whom loved her will never forget her wit, humour, kindness, and tenacity, even to the end.

We want to thank some of the special people that she/we met at Huronview, Connor, Jeffery, Katie, Marilyn, Shannon, Reuben, Bridjit, and the many others we did not get to meet due to Covid restrictions.

There will be no funeral service at Pearl’s request.
