Obituary for Pauline Mary Bogie (Siegel)

Pauline Mary Bogie
August 28, 1949 - October 12, 2023

It is with great sorrow Pauline's family announces the passing of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Beloved wife and farming partner of Cam. Cherished mother of Chad and Katie, Rob, and Kristy and Bruce. Beloved grandmother of Lila, Garrett, Sam and Ben who gave her great joy. Survived by siblings Richard and Ruth Siegel, Betty and Ted Hunter and sister in-law Winnie Siegel. Remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Melinda Siegel and her brother Frank.

Pauline's passions included her family, gardening, farming and curling. She had immense pride in her four grandchildren and would spoil them every chance she got.

Over Pauline's fifty years of living on the farm, she transformed the property into a gardener's paradise fitting of many family picture shoots over the years. Pauline was a very hard worker evidenced by standing at Cam's side through the thick and thin years of farming. She was as comfortable driving a tractor as she was at planting flowers.

Through the five year battle Pauline waged against cancer, she didn't complain or feel sorry for herself and didn't want anyone feeling sorry for her. She fought to her last breath and we couldn't be more proud of her. Pauline will always be loved and always remembered.

Private family service to be held. A celebration of life will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 109, 56 Kingston St. Goderich, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. all are welcome. Final resting place is Colborne Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital MRI fundraising project would be appreciated. Messages of condolences for Pauline's family are welcome at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com
