Peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in her 93rd year. Milvena Ruth Sturgeon was born in Bayfield on May 9, 1929. Survived by her loving family, daughter Sandy (Del) Erickson of South Carolina, son Andrew Erickson, daughter Luanne (Paul) Van Beers and daughter Lydia Erickson as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews. Also survived by her sister-in-law Nelda Sturgeon Predeceased by her parents Willard and Lulu Sturgeon, soulmate and husband Harold M. Smith, son Rob Irwin and siblings Norma, Glenn and Donna. Mom will be sadly missed by countless extended family and friends. Public visitation will be held at Falconer Funeral Homes – Clinton Chapel, 153 High Street, Clinton on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. A private family graveside interment service at Smith Family Cemetery, Teeswater, ON will take place at a later date. A musical celebration of her life will be held when we can all gather safely together again. In keeping with COVID19 restrictions, all those wishing to attend the visitation on Monday must schedule an appointment time through the funeral home website or by calling the funeral home. All those attending are asked to remain in their vehicles until their scheduled appointment time. Face coverings and social distancing protocols will be required.
