Peacefully at Stratford General Hospital, on Tuesday April 4, 2023, Mrs. Marilyn Joyce (Ashton) Forbes of Clinton in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Forbes (2020). Mother of Paul Forbes of Bayfield, Rick & Carol Forbes of Cobalt, Brad Forbes of Clinton, Lisa Hayter of Stratford, and Lori Forbes of Clinton. Grandmother of Daniel (Lori-Anne), Adam; Jason (Brooke), Jeff (Laurel), Corrie (Jeremy), Cameron (Ashley), Coleson (Becky); Logan, Luke, Ryan; Lauren, and Dean. Survived by 17 great- grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Marlene Forbes, Mary Lynn Iacobellis, and Cecilia Ashton. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Cliff & Norma Ashton, parents in law Walter & Grace Forbes, siblings Shirley & Jim Comerford, Keith Ashton, and in laws Murray Forbes, Joyce & Ron Taylor, and Vic Iacobellis. Special thanks to Aunt Mary Lynn for her years of support with mother, taking her to medical appointments and always being willing to lend a helping hand; St. Elizabeth PSW’s whose help allowed her to stay in her own home for many years, and One Care Easy Ride drivers, she always enjoyed your company. Cremation has taken place, and a private family ceremony will take place at Clinton Cemetery at a later date.
