BEANE, Lawrence M.
Lawrence M. Beane, of Goderich, passed away at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital on Saturday, October 8, 2022, in his 83rd year.
Lawrence farmed 100 acres north-west of Brucefield for over 15 years but spent the majority of his career assisting residents of Huron County with tax reporting, accounting and investment planning. A 4-H leader and an early supporter of Youth For Christ, Lawrence was a member and treasurer of the Goderich Lions Club and recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship award. Lawrence loved poring over maps in National Geographic, tending to the flower beds, and listening to George Jones.
Predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Ruth in 2020. Father to Scott Beane of Regina, Saskatchewan and Steven Beane and his wife Kimberly of Milford, Michigan. Grandfather of Sebastian and Angus, also of Milford. Also survived by his sister-in-law Betty. Predeceased by his brothers John and Bev, brother-in-law James and sister-in-law Jean.
A Funeral Service will be held at FALCONER FUNERAL HOMES - BLUEWATER CHAPEL, Goderich on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. with public visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment, Baird's Cemetery, Stanley Township, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
