Peacefully, with family by his side at Seaforth Community Hospital, on Sunday April 16, 2023 Mr. Garry Merner of Clinton in his 83rd year. Beloved husband for 63 years of Maxine (LeBeau) Merner. Loving father of Vicki & Paul Middleton, Elaine Merner, Dan & Shelley Merner, and Rod & Lori Merner. Cherished grandfather of Stacey (Mike), Ashley (Andrew), Shawn (Colby), Richelle (Kyle), Shelby (Greg), Tara (Anmol), Angel Kate, Kelsey (Bronson), Katrina (Brad), McKayla (Andrew), and Brianne (Tim). Also dearly loved by 7 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Beverley Clarke, and Jack Merner. Also fondly remembered and loved by the extended Merner and LeBeau families. Garry owned and operated the successful business of Merner Contracting Ltd. for over 60 years. As Garry wished cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held on Friday. Friends are invited to a celebration of life at the Huron Fish & Game Club 278 Alma Street, Clinton on Saturday April 22, 2023 from 2 -5 p.m. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
