LYON: Joanne
Joanne Pearl Lyon (Easom), age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born October 17, 1936 in Clinton Public Hospital to Roy and Grace Easom. She married Albert (Bert) Lyon, the love of her life, in June 1957 who preceded her in death in February 2018. She was an R.N.A. and worked at Clinton Public Hospital where she was known as a compassionate and caring nurse.
Joanne is survived by her sister Marlene Baer and her husband, Ron (Saltford); three children and their spouses, Wayne and Jane Lyon (Clinton), Kathy and Ron Moes (Merritt, BC), Cheryl and Calvin Bakelaar (Auburn); 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Public visitation for Joanne Lyon will be held at Falconer Funeral Homes - Clinton Chapel, 153 High Street, Clinton on Tuesday, November 2nd from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend must register in advance with the name and phone number of each person attending by visiting Joanne's tribute page on the funeral home website at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com or by calling the funeral home at 519-482-9521. In keeping with pandemic restrictions, face coverings must be worn and social distancing protocols will be observed inside the funeral home.
There will be a private Celebration of Life for our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. The service will be live streamed after 11:00 a.m. and will remain available on the website for viewing at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com.
Interment, Blyth Union Cemetery.
