RIEHL, Edward (Ed) Gerald
Of Goderich, ON, formerly of Kitchener, ON, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 of cancer at the age of 66.
Born December 11, 1956, in Kitchener, Ed is survived by his spouse Sylvia (Daughter Sarah), parents Gerald Riehl (wife Patricia) and Nancy Kuhl (husband Robert), siblings Ross & Wayne Riehl, half-siblings, Laurie, Julie, Amy and David Riehl, and Heather Kuhl as well as nieces and nephews.
Ed was the warmth in every room. Anyone who met him enjoyed his friendly demeanor, his intellect, easy conversation, wit, and sense of humour. He was a loving husband and best friend to Sylvia, a supportive brother, father-figure, and enthusiastic friend. Ed was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Ed had many talents, interests and hobbies. He was an avid camper and canoeist, and spent much of his life on adventures, returning to regale others with stories of bears and dangerous waters. He was a talented photographer, writer, and home renovator, among his many other talents. Ed lived his life to the fullest, embracing whatever adventure came his way.
A Celebration of Ed's Life will be held at the Bluffs at Huron Community Centre, West Coast Way, Goderich on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 3 - 6 p.m. Please bring a finger food to share with a friend.
