MIDDEGAAL: ANTHONY HENRY “TONY”
Peacefully at Huronview Home, Clinton, on Monday September 6, 2021 Tony Middegaal of Clinton in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Joan (Van Osch) Middegaal for 62 years. Loving father of Karen & Steve Grainger, Paul & Wendy Middegaal, Bert Middegaal & Barb Forbes, and Jim & Linda Middegaal. Cherished grandfather of Brad & Charlene, Kerri Lyn & Ken, Sara & Tyler, Kyle & Dan, Nicole & Andre, Mckala & Kyle, Alicia & Gabe, Chloe & Travis, Regan, Tyler & Claire, Courtney & Brock, and Brooke & Tyler. Also cherished by great grandchildren, Peyton, Andie, Lexie, Kinsley, Kane, Ryan, Nev, Nora, Nixon, and Wells. Dear brother of Chris Dieser (Lou Lane), Helen Van Moorsel (Harry), Hank & Mary Ann Middegaal, Joanne & Cal Garrow, and John & Ann Middegaal. Predeceased by his parents Lambertus & Anna (Smits) Middegaal. Tony proudly retired from a 35 year career with the County of Huron, Highways Department. Farming was also a passion which he shared with his family and it continues on with his three sons. In his retirement years, Tony could be found sharpening, repairing or engineering just about anything in his machine shop. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes – 153 High St., Clinton, on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Those wishing to attend must provide contact information upon entry to the funeral home, wear a mask, and maintain social distance. A family funeral mass will be held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Goderich on Friday September 10, 2021 at 11 a.m. Although the service is private, the family invites those who wish to view the service via livestream by visiting Tony’s obituary at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com, and choosing the photos and video option.
