On September 3, 2022, Anne Marie Powell, 56, began her journey to the spirit world and passed away peacefully with family by her side. She was born on May 8, 1966 in Toronto and was adopted shortly after to loving parents Polly Powell and her late husband Carl Powell. Anne grew up in Elliot Lake, until she moved to Clinton at age 16. At 24, she welcomed a daughter, Calista, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her sister Carrie Powell and best friend Rich Swirklis. Anne will be greatly missed for her creativity and sense of humor even in the toughest of times. A drop-in celebration of life will be held on September 10 from 12-3 p.m. at the residence of Polly Powell. Memorial donations may be made in Anne’s name to the Huron County Food Bank.
