Obituary for Alice Brochu
BROCHU: ALICE MARIE
OCTOBER 8, 1926 – DECEMBER 17,2022
She left us on the wings of an angel, passing away at the age of 96. Alice was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Born Marie Alice Angelina Dumontier, Alice was the tenth out of twelve children of the late Charlie & Agustha (Poliquin) Dumontier. Predeceased by Antonio, Leo, Jane, Antoinette, Irene, Cecile, Henry, Noel, Charlie, Albertine, and Albert. Beloved wife of the late Rene Brochu (April 25, 2002), also predeceased by daughter Diana Thompson, and grandson Adam Thompson. Alice is sadly missed by Rose Reber, Anita (Ron) Plumsteel, Louise Maxwell, Elaine (John) Dysktra, and Vince Brochu (Christy Everet). Cherished by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alice was a devoted CWL member, and loved to golf, curl, and knit. Alice also was a member of the local Legion, and marched with the Colour Guard. The Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday December 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church – Goderich. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, ALS Society, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
